This is really fantastic to hear. Thank yo...Sylvia! This is really fantastic to hear. Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you're putting yourself out there. Hyperhidrosis is part of us but it is not our entire makeup.

Any tips you have to share for facial sweating please be sure the pass along. Lots of cute headbands and hats out there these days. I am not as familiar with facial sweating, but know many readers suffer from it as well.

Continue to work on making you happy. I have to constantly remind myself that in order to be loved I have to love myself first. Sounds like you're doing just that. Exercising, being active, and having a support group of friends. Keep it up!

One day at a time.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00543398039870373678noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3018778446787963551.post-51121948810074236182013-03-21T06:28:26.601-07:002013-03-21T06:28:26.601-07:00So glad to see you've continued posting again....So glad to see you've continued posting again. I am 22 and someone who suffers from hyperhidrosis on my face and back... it's embarrassing. As girls (or women), I think we have the extra pressure that this is some form of gross behaviour. Society sees it far more normal for a guy to sweat excessively... the same can't be said for girls.

I truly find your blog inspiring. I used to spend so much time at home. In fact, 90% of the time I left the house was just to go to university, but you've encouraged me to not let hyperhidrosis dictate my life. My family doesn't understand how socially crippling it can be. In fact, when I've tried to mention treatments, they just laugh it off and say it will end. (It's infuriating.)

Even so, your blog has given me the courage to get out there and take little steps. I've started exercising regularly, rekindled some old friendships and gotten an internship. The thing that worries me now is that I'll always be alone. I've never been in a relationship because I'm afraid to be intimate with guys. Having hyperhidrosis on my face, anytime I get nervous (or start to feel even a little warm), it shows... the worst part about it all is that I've just become so hostile/skeptical of all relationships. I really hope this is something I can also work towards changing... guess we'll see... :)Sylvianoreply@blogger.com
